How LinkCrit Scoring Works

LinkCrit uses a multi-layered analysis engine to evaluate the risk and quality of any backlink in real-time.

1. 0–100 Risk Score

Every URL analyzed is assigned a score from 0 (perfectly safe) to 100 (highly toxic). This score is composite, meaning it balances multiple "red flags" and "green flags" found on the page and the hosting domain.

  • Safe (0-29): Legitimate links that are safe to keep.
  • Suspicious (30-64): Links with some flags, monitor closely.
  • Toxic (65-100): High probability of being spam.

2. Automated Recommendations

Based on the score, LinkCrit provides a clear action plan so you don't have to guess:

3. "Top 3 Reasons" Explainability

We don't just give you a number. We tell you why. Our "Top 3 Reasons" feature highlights the most significant risk factors detected, such as:

  • Aggressive Keywords: High density of spam or commercial anchor text.
  • Link Farm Detection: Sites with an excessive number of outbound links.
  • Brand New Domain: Recently registered domains (less than 30 days old).
  • DNS/HTTP Errors: Domains that fail to resolve or return error codes.

Privacy Commitment

We value your data privacy. LinkCrit does not send Analyzed URLs, final target domains, or any PII in our analytics events. We only track non-PII metrics to improve the scoring engine.
